Through out this blog I have written articles about myself. These have been either my thoughtsand experiences or both with having fibromyalgia. My hopes in writing them was to help others understand that they are not alone.
Being diagnosed with fibromyalgia has done two things for me. One, I have found out that I am not crazy or alone. The second one is harder; I know the name of the symptoms I have yet it does not help when the pain is there. Nor does it help when you know what you should and could be doing, only you can’t. At times this is devastating. The wounds are so very deep, only the scars these wounds leave do not heal nor can you see them. This is the most heart wrenching fact. No one can see the scars so therefore you look like you are okay, all the while your body is screaming inside.
My hope is that for whom ever reads my blogs will feel a bit better knowing that they are not crazy or alone. I know the pain you go through and so do many others. The people affected with this unkind disorder usually suffer it alone and that only makes it harder. Please try to find a friend that has fibromyalgia to speak with or better yet become a member of this blog so you can have a vast amount of people you can communicate with. Each person is different and their pains and needs are different. I, as so many others do not have just fibromyalgia by itself. In my case, I also have neuropathy and have to be on a bi-pap breathing machine at night. I also have other complication such as TMJ among others. Each person is unique and different, therefore they experience differently the clutches of Fibromyalgia.Take care of yourself and again, please become a member of this blog so you can relate with others or find that special friend you can talk to.
