The Weather And Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is described as pain that occurs in the muscles. This can affect your whole body and it often entails a fatigue syndrome. This means that there is pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons, and most of the time, patients have absolutely no energy at all. People get full-body aches with flu-like symptoms or they feel like too much exercise has caused sore muscles. There is no known cure for this syndrome as of yet, but there are medicines that will help with some of the complications.

Variations in barometric pressure can contribute to the pain of the Fibromyalgia sufferer. When a storm moves in, the aches begin. Sometimes the person can actually predict a storm coming by the way they feel. They may feel like a walking barometer. When the weather changes, it can cause flare-ups in the bodies of people that suffer from this syndrome. This also can be true of simple temperature and air pressure changes such as precipitation. It does not have to be a storm though. The wind can also cause changes in the barometric pressure and result in aches and pain. All of these changes can cause mild to intense changes in the body. Some of the symptoms that the weather can affect are fatigue, sleep patterns, headaches, muscle pain and the frequency of symptom flare-ups.

Case studies have been made to provide information about the results of the weather and how it can affect the Fibromyalgia patients in a negative way.
