Fibromyalgia is a disease for which there is no cure. People that suffer from this disease have to learn to live with it, but there are many suggestions as to help with the many symptoms. Chronic fatigue is one of the many issues that is a concern. There is usually very low levels of energy during this period. The best thing to do is try to lay down if you can. Only 30 minutes of sleep will help to give your body the needed rest.
On days when the fatigue isn't as much, try and exercise for 20 minutes. Physicians have found that swimming is one of the best exercises because there is not much strain on the body. Being in the water makes this a resistance motion, which is gentle, but effective to try and strengthen your physical body. As with all exercises, it is helpful to stretch before starting.
The food you eat is very important to your general health also. This can be a frustrating disease, so make sure you stay in touch with all your friends and family. Your diet should be rich in antioxidants. They curb the production of free radicals, which are not good for Fibromyalgia patients. Fruits and vegetables are a great source of all the needed vitamins. Green tea is also excellent to drink. Chemicals like aspartame need to be avoided. As long as you know your limitations, share your condition with your friends and don't be alone in your struggle. There is research being done everyday to help find a cure for this disease.
