Also, you should make sure you get a full night of sleep. This will help with your everyday lifestyle and help you feel well rested, allowing your body to repair itself and de-stress. Relaxing in hot water or placing hot or cold packs on your sore areas can also help reduce the pain.

If all else fails there is always medication and injections. However, with every medication there are side effects and the results are not long lasting. These two options need to be repeated many times to help control the pain and discomfort.

Even though the cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, there are many things you can do to help your condition. Make sure to rest and relax when your body needs to rest. Work hard, but work smart.
