Living Life with Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia does not attack the joints. Instead, it gives birth to another kind of pain by going into the soft tissue located around the joints, skin, and organs. If is difficult to see if a person has fibromyalgia because no symptoms are visible from the outside. This makes fibromyalgia very difficult to diagnose. There is apparently no cure for fibromyalgia at this time.

One of the most prevalent symptoms is bodily pain that ranges from mild to severe. A sufferer may have morning stiffness, muscle twitches at night, swelling, broken sleep patterns, and fatigue. Fibromyalgia can cause a lack of sleep, nutritional deficiencies, and injuries. The physical stress they feel can turn into emotional stress.

It is hard to understand the pain of fibromyalgia unless you have it. Even many doctors cannot comprehend it. It may come to the point where you are unable to carry out your simple chores such as getting dressed, setting the table, brushing your hair, and getting clothes out of the dryer. Once you develop fibromyalgia, is very hard to adjust, especially if you had a job and now find yourself homebound most of the time.

Keep in mind that you are not the only one that has to adjust. It is also hard on your family and friends. They also have to adjust to your illness and maybe even help to take care of you. With good nutrition and managing these conditions requires emotional coping techniques can put you into remission.
