How to Prevent Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a disorder that effects people around the world. It is a chronic pain disorder which effects the fibrous tissues of the muscle, ligaments and tendons of the body. The central nervous system translates non-pain sensations into painful sensations. This also causes chronic headaches, irritable bowels, and morning stiffness. There are also numerous other painful conditions that go along with Fibromyalgia. Although living with this condition is difficult, it is fortunately not life threatening.

There are many things that can be done on a day to day basis that can help prevent Fibromyalgia and reduce flare-ups if you already have the condition. The first thing people should do is to watch their diets closely and stay away from white flour, processed foods, and sugar products. Staying away from soda is a big one, as there are chemicals that are bad for your spleen and kidney and are jam-packed full of sugars with no nutritional value in them. Eating non-processed foods, such as veggies, whole grains, fiber enriched food, and protein, will work with the digestive system instead of against it. Another way to prevent Fibromyalgia is to reduce the stress in your life and exercise daily, whether by walking the dog or going to the gym. Anything that will get your heart rate up can help. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine have also been known to benefit sufferers of the condition.

In closing, there are many things that you can do to prevent and reduce the flare ups of Fibromyalgia. Incorporating all of these tips into your day to day life will increase your overall wellness, as well as lessening your chances of getting Fibromyalgia.
