Support for Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a disorder where a person suffers from serious aches and pains all over the body. The areas that are most generally affected are the back, neck, shoulders and hands. The NFA is designed to encourage and empower the patients and their families that deal with fibromyalgia. In addition to learning through their support groups, you can also join the association and can receive special member benefits such as their quarterly newsletter, Fibromyalgia Awareness Magazine, plus additional benefits. They also host an annual workshop that instructs attendees about fibromyalgia. The 2007 workshop was held in Washington, DC.

There are several support groups that are also available online. These groups offer different types of assistance like wellness blogs, treatment information, a place where patients can write about their own stories and even chat rooms. This is a wonderful opportunity to get some help if you don't want to leave your home.
