Teens with Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia involves pain in the body. The fibrous tissues cause severe pain, and your body is weak, and tired. There are many different varieties of people that can get this: men, women, children, and teens. This condition lasts a long time and can be very uncomfortable.

The conditions are throbbing and shooting pains in the back, shoulders, necks, and joints. It also may feel like a stabbing sensation. There is a great lack of energy and a feeling of being tired all the time.

The only thing that doctors can relate this condition to is stress, or emotional problems. Unfortunately, there is no cure, but it can be managed with some medication. This disease is not fatal, but it can make you feel very uncomfortable.

This can affect a teen’s life greatly. It can be very hard to go to school, and be in different things. There are some medications to stop the fatigue, and help with the pain a little bit. But, nothing makes it go 100% away.

Fibromyalgia can be difficult to diagnosis, and many trips to the doctor and many tests may have to be done to figure out what is wrong. Also, this means more pain, with no treatment, and more school and activities that are missed. This can also cause depression in teens.

The best thing for teens to do is to learn about their disease, and also inform other people around them too. Teenagers should surround themselves with a support group, and also other people who are suffering from the same thing. You have to give yourself plenty of rest, plenty of nutrition, and exercise.
